Nao Asakura (浅倉 なお, Asakura Nao) is a major character in Battle Royale II: Requiem.
Backstory[]
Nao is a former Rugby Team Co-Manager along with Asuka Motomura. After her parents divorced, she was harassed in school and was forced to transfer. She's a busybody that cares about others.
Friends and Enemies[]
She is friends with Takuma Aoi, and also has a crush on him. She was best friends with Asuka. She was possibly also friends with Shintaro Makimura, Shugo Urabe, Haruka Kuze, Risa Shindo, and Kyoko Kakei.
Before the Program[]
Nao was sitting next to Takuma on the bus and tried to get him to sign the commemorative rugby ball, to which he refused; unperturbed, Nao signed the ball herself. She fell asleep after breathing in a sleeping gas that was pumped into the bus; when she woke up he noticed that Taku was wearing an explosive collar, which alarmed her before she realized she was wearing one herself. When Riki Takeuchi called her to decide which side of the line she would stand on she hesitated. When Takuma threw himself against the cage and curled up into a ball, Nao rushed to check on him, crossing the line without realizing it. After she noticed, she decided to go through with getting her gear and choosing to participate, to the dismay of Asuka.
During the Program[]
Nao survived the "Landing" phase and was separated into Group A; she also survived the "Supply Retrieval" phase and regrouped with Group B during the "Assault" phase. Nao witnessed Taku kill an ATAT soldier, and is shocked when he says he had a family too. She escaped with Haruya Sakurai, Jin, Kyoko, Risa, Mayu Hasuda and the other children and made their way to Afghanistan where they live for three months while waiting for Takuma Aoi and Shuya Nanahara. When they do reunite, Nao is overjoyed. The student choose not to join Wild Seven and Nao stays in Afghanistan, presumably for the rest of her life.
