Ryoko Hata (波多 量子, Hata Ryōko) is a minor character in Battle Royale II: Requiem.

Backstory[]

Ryoko was an introvert who liked immersing herself in fantasy. She wanted to be a writer. She was friends with Miki Ikeda and Rena Niimi. She came to Shikanotoride after many previous transfers and instances of boycotting school.

Before the Program[]

During the Program[]

Ryoko was unlucky enough to die in a mine trap. After Masakatsu Taguchi's dead body fell on the ground, it caused the mines to blow up which killed Ryoko and her partner Kenji Maezono, as well as Rena and her partner Tatsuhiko Hasegawa.

Etymology[]

  • The name Ryoko means "quantum" (量子).
  • Ryoko's surname Hata means "wave, breaker" (波) (ha) and "many" (多) (ta).

Notes[]

  • Ryoko's death was slightly expanded in the Revenge Edition; she outran the first few explosions, but tripped and hit a mine with her hand, causing it to go off in her face.
