Backstory[]
Tadakatsu Hatagami (旗上 忠勝, Hatagami Tadakatsu) was a tall, well-built boy who played on the baseball team. He is described as having average looks, with short, spiked hair, and slight acne on his cheeks. Tadakatsu was a jock who had a tough façade but inside was just as scared as the others in the program. He was friends with Shuya Nanahara when they both played Little League Baseball, but he stopped playing baseball and his mother wouldn't let them hang out as Shuya started playing the electric guitar (an un-patriotic activity). His mother was very uptight.
Appearance[]
Tadakatsu was tall and well built because of his baseball training. He was described as having an average looking face with slight acne on his cheekbones. He had short hair.
Friends and Enemies[]
Tadakatsu was friends with the other jocks, Tatsumichi Oki andKazushi Niida. He was also friends with Yuichiro Takiguchi, whom he met at primary school. He didn't trust Mitsuko Souma. He used to be good friends with Shuya Nanahara, but they fell out after Shuya left the baseball team.
In the Program
Tadakatsu began the game terrified and traveled around the island in a panic. He managed to meet up with his friend Yuichiro, and they chose to travel together, though Tadakatsu is untrusting, so he ties his gun to his hand with a bandana. His first appearance is taking a piss while Mitsuko Souma sneaks up on him to kill him with her sickle, but Yuichiro intervenes and saves Tadakatsu, who takes Mitsuko hostage, thinking she will kill them. Later, he falls asleep while Yuichiro and Mitsuko keep watch. After switching shifts with Yuichiro, Tadakatsu is seduced by Mitsuko, who takes him away from the sleeping Yuichiro. While his attention is elsewhere, Mitsuko takes out a razor she hides in her panties, and attempts to kill Tadakatsu, but he notices and quickly grabs the gun to shoot her. Mitsuko runs to Yuichiro claiming he was trying to rape her, while Tadakatsu is hysterical and trying to kill her without trial. Yuichiro demands the gun in order to trust them both, but Tadakatsu flipped the gun and tries to shoot Mitsuko as he knows that she can't be trusted. However, Yuichiro jumps in the way of the bullet, and Mitsuko uses the time to grab a bat and ironically beat him to death with the thing he uses as a jock.
