Tadanori Oda (織田 忠則, Oda Tadanori) is a minor character in Battle Royale.
Backstory[]
Tadanori is the older brother of Toshinori Oda. Tadanori was apparently very smart in business compared to his younger brother, so their father decided to leave his food wholesaler company to him.
It is highly likely that he was upset when he learned his little brother was selected to be a part of the program. When Shogo Kawada reminds Shuya Nanahara of all the classmates Kazuo Kiriyama killed, Tadanori is shown mourning over Toshinori.
Etymology[]
- The name Tadanori means "loyalty, fidelity" (忠) (tada), and "rule, follow" (則) (nori)
- Tadanori's surname Oda means "fabric, material" (織) (o), and "field, rice paddy" (田) (da)
