Backstory[]
Yuka Nakagawa (中川 有香, Nakagawa Yūka) was known around her school for being very cheerful even in dire circumstances. She was a class-clown and enjoyed watching horror movies. Yuka also played tennis. Yuka was enthusiastic and helped to raise people's moods with her personality.
Appearance[]
Yuka was somewhat chubby and had a tan from playing tennis.
Friends and Enemies[]
Yuka was on good terms with most of her classmates since she was a class clown. She was friends with Yukie Utsumi, Haruka Tanizawa, Chisato Matsui, Yuko Sakaki, Satomi Noda, Izumi Kanai, Fumiyo Fujiyoshi, and Noriko Nakagawa.
In Angels Border, it is said that she was childhood friends/neighbors with Tadakatsu Hatagami.
In the Program[]
When Yuka made her way out of the school, she heard the voices of Yukie Utsumi and Haruka Tanizawa, asking her to join up with them. Yuka accepted the offer and waited with them for other girls to join them. They managed to get Satomi Noda and Chisato Matsui to join them but they lost Kaori Minami. They decided against calling for Yoshimi Yahagi due to her friendship with Mitsuko Souma.
After they were all gathered up, the girls wandered around the island until they witnessed the suicide of Sakura Ogawa and Kazuhiko Yamamoto. After this incident, the girls left towards the lighthouse. They had it arranged where someone would always be on watch in case of an attack.
Around eight pm on the first day, they found Yuko Sakaki who told the girls that she witnessed Shuya Nanahara killing Tatsumichi Oki. The girls let her stay as she isn't a threat to them.
They would then find an unconscious Shuya. The girls had an argument with Yuko as she felt that by keeping Shuya there, he would try to murder them but the rest thought they couldn't leave him to die so they took him in.
It was Yuka's turn to keep watch until she was told by Haruka that Shuya had awoken. The two girls made their way downstairs and started to tease Yukie about her crush on Shuya. Although she stopped when she looked at Chisato since she lost her crush, Shinji Mimura.
Yuka tried to change the mood when she mentioned how good the food smelled and went over to have a taste. She lifted the dish and put it against her mouth. She suddenly dropped the dish and everyone looked at her. She held onto her throat and coughed out the food, but she didn't stop. She coughed more violently onto the table and then crashed onto the floor.
Etymology[]
- The name Yuka means "exist" (有) (yu) and "fragrance, fragrant" (香) (ka).
- Yuka's surname Nakagawa means "middle" (中) (naka) and "river, stream" (川) (kawa/gawa).
Trivia[]
- Although they have the same surname, Yuka and Noriko Nakagawa are not related.
